I just heard... words fail me... Dawn Carlucci writes: "It is with great sadness that I have to report that [my husband] Patrick Carlucci passed away this morning after a 5 year battle with Non-Hodgkins lymphoma. He passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family and friends."

I inked this piece back when you drew it and mailed the original to Pat. I guess he had my inks framed and put it on his studio wall. I hope they always hang there.
Pat was kind of a coach and mentor to me and was always there to bounce ideas off of- he used to call and we would talk for 4 or 5 hours at a time about comics and drawing. He had made plans to spend a week at my house with my wife and I last summer but his health went sour so fast it didn't happen.... sigh.
Its been real hard to find direction and get my work back in gear without him- drawing really lost meaning after he passed.
I only recently started to pull it back together, honestly.
