My very first recollection of anything "superhero" or "comic related" was "The Phantom". Yep-- he was my first taste to my addiction! Years later, I had the distinct pleasure of meeting The Phantom's creator... Lee Falk. What a total class act... I enjoyed presenting the Guest of Honor with a sculpture commissioned by the producers, from a local artist.

I now have the privilege of having come full circle, and drawing covers to the Phantom ...for reals. What an honor, and a treat!!

Folklore dictates that one can never show the Phantom's eyes when he's not wearing his mask. So this is my way of keeping that tradition alive, on the cover of his upcoming mini-series. Graphite on Bristol Board w/ Digital Colors.
